Something people have been asking for for a while now, and the sensor logic block looks tailor made for it, kinda surprised it wasn't included in the original release.

I'd like to see weapon computer status added to what the sensor block can probe.

I'd like to see the % cooldown remaining be something we can measure so that we can make weapons that "power up" or move back into position while "charging up" the next shot, and we could use cooldown = 100% as the "this weapon just fired" indicator to add recoil or other flashy indicators to the weapon to make everything look more dynamic.

As far as I know it's planned. No idea either why it wasn't in the initial release

It would probably be better for computers (at least, weapons and maybe scanners/other active modules) to just send a signal directly to linked activators/buttons...

Yeah, computers outputting logic would be better, the fact sensors have to be polled means that things like fake recoil would look really odd, with it potentially taking 1/2 second to detect a shot has been fired.

Cores... we need sensors to detect players in cores... and buildblocks...

Not only that, but the game has to run a bunch of calculations every shot anyway, unless I'm mistaken; adding a logic output check should only cause a minimal performance impact.

Yeah, I would prefer direct logic output from the weapons, effect well all computers.

Could be just as good. Can still calculate reload time for power up effects using a straight timer.

something that I've been wanting for a very long time and now we have a way to do it. I would also suggest that bobby AI blocks also output a logic signal if they are going after a target.

    Submitting to the council!

So we could make some actual enemy detection units, I like it.

So this is made for you.

As part of your idea, could we also have display blocks able to display more information? Weapons, jump drive charge, jump inhibitor charge, etc, etc, would allow display blocks to be infinitely more useful.

Heck, I'd like to see weapon information (dps, energy usage, etc) available on displays just so I could put it next to the computer so I didn't have to keep drilling down into the weapon details tab every time I modified something.
