As someone who has only recently returned to the game and forums and has always been totally out of the loop when it comes to multiplayer/PvP/factions, I can only say the last week in here has been confusing but morbidly entertaining and for some reason left me feeling like I should stay well away from multiplayer.

The opposite! Being friends with multiplayer people will get you all the juicy details and you actually understand what the fuck everything means like OP NFD FD BH etc. Really, the closer you get to multiplayer without being caught up into the shit fest the more entertaining it becomes.
