It'd be nice if people running quality, popular servers could get a badge on the site for it.

I think anyone who runs a server should be able to get the badge if they want it. Running a server is hard work and most of the time the cost comes out of their own pocket. I've played on an incredibly well run private server where the owner would be well deserved of a badge. That's you Jov.

Having worked with Gravy, I feel it should be for active admins of the server as a whole, rather than just the owner ^_^

It was in the wrong section, I've moved it now. The council have been given the permission to award some badges here.

This would require something like a vote from players or council suggested (requiring councillors to visit these servers). It's not an easy task to do and is hard to track without spending time on each individual server. If we ran our own server list here, it would be slightly easier to do, but we don't.

I'm not rejecting the idea, just providing a little feedback to consider.

We have 7 councilors. Are they really all always busy? It's not like they're busy checking for builders, modders, logicians, artists, and railsmiths to give badges to, and, while they're definitely active, all 7 of them are surely not occupied by responding to suggestions?

I would gladly do it,but It it would require checking the server every 1 week/month ..and we would have to wait for some time depending how fast the server owner whitelists us if there is one,and with 30 servers minimum,it would be quite an undertaking to keep everything in check.

Hmm. It would probably have to come to a forum poll. Not sure how we could judge a server unless a good chunk of various players gave some form of input. Still, it would be nice to see.

council finds candidates and gives them away if we determine he/she/it is good enough,we are also open to suggestions,we can not find every single good builder out there

How are master builders currently determined?

Master Builder Badge is actually one we can establish numerical values for. When a player uploads a ship we look at the number of downloads and average ratings.
