IOException: Download failed on 1 file

This has probably been brought up for previous versions of the game, but when I try to update the game to latest version I always get the same.

When I try to downgrade the game I get to 100%, then 'IOException: Download failed on 1 file'.

When I try to normal download latest version, I get to 100%, then 'IOException: Download failed on 1 file'.

When I try to force download latest version, I get to 100%, then 'IOException: Download failed on 1 file'.

When I try to download with or without backup there is no difference, but then I doubt this is relevant.



Thanks in advance to anyone willing to spend the time trying to work this out ^^.
As I play on ~4 servers everyday, would be great to figure out how I can fix this and get back to starmade.

What virus scan are you using ?

I have had trouble with avast blocking sphereExplosionData.dat.

I'd try disabling your virus scan while the launcher downloads the files then re-enable and launch.

Definitely start with disabling the virus scan.
Doing anything from a server (especially one that's not run by a massive corporation) can be blocked by random attacks of the various firewalls you may have. Try disabling it, then downloading, and reenable it afterwards. If not ... Idk.
