I was thinking that, if you are close to star, or a planet with radiation, it screws your system, which means energy, shields and so on...

It will eventually turn back ON, but it will take some time.

I think it would be nice strategic rule, that would made this game more realistic

Yea, but with heat-shielding planned this would be a neat little feature. When your shields go down this happens and you've gotta run to your escape pods while they are still intact while you slowly die... =D

When heat shielding gonna happen I plan to make special ship, go to the center of a star and make homebase there xD So this could prevent me from doing that or at least make it a lot more harder. So yes, I agree that this is kinda needed, and maybe make some resources more valued, because mining near stars.

personally i dont see much reason for this, because sun damage damages systems taking about power/shields etc. perhaps if they implement nebulas, then going through them will disrupt systems due to charged particles being present throughout the surrouding space. just what i think :)

Having a station in a nebula that temporarily disables someone's systems when they enter would be great for defense.

I could also see having sectors that reduce the effectiveness of systems for any ship in them. Of course, these effects seem like they would be in the same systems. I'd also want some way of hardening my systems against effectiveness degradation and shutoff.

(Shutoff would likely only reduce the length of the shutoff)
