Recognized Planet re-work idea

so i just have a little idea for planets..

keep them the same shape they are i like them! they are cool and diffrent!...just make them bigger by defult

MORE GRAVITY!- so if a large ship get into the planets gravity its doomed and stuck there (larger planets will help with so you can have a "safe" landing and not crash into several mountains)

Hostiles- hostile aliens are in all planets!...maybe not ice planets...so you need to fight and defend your ship! rebuild new ships and get off the planet! or stay and make a new base!

We would love to make them bigger,we already can though the simple config change.
But doing that as "default" would cause problems to players with lowe end PCs that already have problems with current sizes.
Also,gravity wise,big ships already have problems leaving the gravity once they fall into it
Hostiles are planned as part of the new fauna updates this year :D

hm..what when lag fixes are added to planets? will they be bigger by default then?

I'v seen some big ships fall into a planet then spin-around for a while then be on there way back in space :P its funny at times.

Nice! can't wait to fight hostile aliens!

1. Large ships shouldn't crash-land on planets.

Perhaps make an ORBIT. Large ships aren't dragged into the planet.
Instead they land and have to escape the planet's orbit.
Perhaps a config setting.

2. Do you know how many planet-threads this forum has already? Just search for bigger planets.

Other than more cities/buildings etc one thing I'd love to see is more kinds of planets. Now the stars are more deadly we could have Mercury or Venus styled planets towards the center of the system, and gas giants etc.

They're already planned I believe. I think they were waiting until they have an in game use for them?

Personally I'd like to see them complete block all radar/scanners, so you could have hidden bases, ambush points etc. Could even have pirates/scavengers use them for ambushes.

I personally can't wait to see what they have already planned for planets. I hope those updates can come sooner rather than later.
