Wasn't really that long to be honest, especially if they took a break for Christmas and New Year.

I guess it will be about more bugs that won't be fixed anytime soon.

Just the ever growing list of bugs that keep me from playing the game.
I would give you a badge, but there are no badges for the worst alpha testers :(
cmon man, with new features being introduced there will be bugs,always.. we are all just a bunch of glorified testers. you payed for the game you say?
.. and deserve the game bug free? noup.. you could have waited until the game is feature full and released. you only support the development of the game with that purchase.
Do you want all bugs fixed every time there is new release and cause the game to be released 4-5 years from now,or do you want it to be like now with few bugs here and there ,but with full release in 1 or 2 years away

Also dont be confused with all these devs, yes there are quite a few of them.. but there is only one coder that can fix bugs and put in new features, only O-N-E :p

No need to treat me like an idiot, and you totally missed my point. I know what alphs means, and I never complained about all the 485 bugs currently in the game, only a very few of them. Shipyards, for example, were introduced like five months ago and still have serious issues, but adding slabs was more important. In some cases I'd even be happy if I knew whether that bug will ever be fixed at all.

I apologize then! we have to deal with a lot of trolls and people who dont know how development works,so Its usually best to lay out all the details infront of them, instead of arguing about tiny details for 5+ pages on the thread hahah, but yeah

Which bugs are you specifically interested in? (actual numbers plz)
There may be reasons they haven't addressed yet. Dunno, that's why I'm asking for more info.

Just to put it out there, I believe the point has been made several times and if I recall at least once by a Dev, but the bugs are slow to fix due to the fact that they want to get key feature in and settled before the great big war. This is because say you fix bugs (1), (2), & (3) and then add feature 3000.... Feature 3000 breaks the game and cause bugs (1a), (2a), & (3a). Then the Devs have to go through and retract and remix bugs that they've already fixed and have to spend more time and resources fixing them.

So while we all hate the bugs it's better to kill them once instead of 50+ times.

It's also been said that new features take priority over bugs, as long as things are more or less functional. As stated above, fixing every bug would be a waste of time, since they're likely to just break again (or the code with the big is completely replaced). The point of alpha is to make sure all the games major features are in place, ironing out the bugs is more for beta.

I wouldn't complain about shipyards if they were functional. Turrets that rely on partially producing their own energy aren't funtional. Replacing shaped blocks isn't funtional (how hard can it be not to change orientation bits?). Defensive effects on turrets aren't funtional. I don't f****** care if anti-aliasing doesn't work or if cores display the wrong hotkey to enter.

I do not demand any of these bugs to be fixed anytime soon. I just use my freedom of speech to say that there are several bugs in the game with which I can't properly play it and that these should be fixed rather sooner than later in my opinion. Btw, I played enough so called "alpha", "beta" and "finished" games to know that these terms in fact mean shit. Just one example: Whenever someone complained about a bug in the Minecraft beta the usual fanboys came shouting "It's a beta! It's a beta! It's a beta!", but many of these bugs were still present in the "release" version. I hold schema and the other Schine staff in high regards and really want to believe that they'll make it better. But if even a dev team literally drowning in money can't do it, how is a single cat supposed to?

The title of the thread doesn't seem to be answered, but it does make testing DEV branch difficult if we can't figure out WHAT to look at. There is a dev branch out there and I can't tell what's new.

According to the roadmap we'll get space whales.

In Schema's interview he mentioned the new launcher should be about ready.
I'm hoping we will be getting Quarters, but I expect chairs and duty stations will come first. Maybe. Not sure how all this stuff links up code wise.
OTOH, the thruster update wasn't really talked about, from my perspective it was pretty out of the blue.
Not to mention Schema like to sneak stuff in when nobody is looking.

Anyway, 24 hours isn't that long to wait. (assuming they are back on schedule after the holidays)
