Ship separation upon destruction [Video Example]

    Something I notice is that ships will stay together even if they aren't connected, which is good for building, not so great for combat.

    Mass Effect Spoiler Warning

    This is the best example I could get for what I'm talking about. The ship gets sliced in half, and the different pieces fall apart, and so does the debris.

    That is already IN the game,but its disabled in the configs for now because its really resource heavy on GPU. We have to wait for further optimizations in the future for that to come back.
    If you have a beast pc,you can enable it tho

    I did not know this, but I'm glad it's already in.

    I thought about many ways to improve an algorithm like that.

    Each solution that improves the check creates additional complexity in updating the cache of checks.

    I'm not sure how others do it but most solutions I can think of right away inlcuding waking the block tree or whatever structure he's holding it. That doesn't sound fast to me.

    I've heard that breakoff is completely broken and instantly causes crashes when you turn it on and try to detach something with it.
