Hi, so this is a multi-part suggestion aimed to help with server lag and also playability of the game when building with the advanced builder. One suggestion is to give more control to admins to moderate lag, another is to help assist players in building and removing blocks with less tedium, and the final suggestions are to add more ease of use to the advanced build menus.

1: Allow the ability to set different maximum values for removing and adding chunks of blocks in the advanced build mode.
If a server wants to allow players to remove 50x50x50 chunks, great! It's so much easier! But building a 50x50x50 block is usually a very bad idea for lag reasons. It almost always freezes my game for so long, I lag out on the server and have to restart the game and reconnect. It can also lag other players on the server (My computer is a quad core CPU with 10gb of RAM). The lag difference should either be fixed or admins/players should be allowed to set different maximums for adding and removing blocks.

2: Allow players to have different values saved for adding and removing chunks of blocks in the advanced build menu. For example, maybe someone is removing 50x50x50 chunks, and building in 5x50x50 chunks. Having to reset the figures back and forth is cumbersome. Let players check a box that will separate these two values and will remember the last size they set for removal and the last size set for adding. Maybe even allow muliple values to be saved for each, so players can seamlessly switch.

3: In Advanced Build Mode, allow players to TYPE the number they want to use, wherever numbers need to be selected. The slider bars in use currently may be sufficient, but typing is usually so much faster. Allow both options. For example, with adding/removing chunks, someone could select a value, type over it, then press the TAB key to move to the next number and type over that. This would be especially useful for such things as setting the radius of a circle in the build helper, where the slider bar is (I'm sorry to say this, but..) quite unreasonably scaled. I really don't think 5% of the way up should be 200. It's very difficult to select the value I want. If I could just type it, that would be great.

    4. Remember the last values used in advanced build mode. To use the build helper again as an example, if I build a circle with an 80 block radius and a 90 degree angle, the next time I bring it up, have those figures in already. Let me change them if I'd like or just let me use them again. Making circular rings is tedious right now.

Thank you for your time. As always, feedback is welcome. :)

    #2: Slider for: 1x1x1, 2x2x2, 4x4x4, ... (1,2,4,8,16,32,64,...)
Why? because then it is independent on which scale you build, it always has the same relative resolution.
It should also be possible to build/remove aligned to an offset + grid-size (currently fixed to the values {0, 1}).

More than 2 options (like foreground+background colour in paint/gimp) can clutter the interface and should be unlocked by an option for those who need it.

My only real issue with sliders in adv. build mode is with circle and elipse generation. One tick on the slider is something like 34 blocks. Being able to type in values would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, that one is definitely broken. It'd be nice if it would also remember the last value I used too.. because it compounds the problem when it forgets everything.. and then I have to set the value again and again for multiple rings..

I wouldn't mind trying that out. Adv. Build mode is nice but could definitely use a little tweaking. I for one would welcome the ability to type a number in, or any increased functionality really.

I would also like to be able to adjust the sliders by moving the mouse cursor over them and using the scroll wheel.

I like it! But I'd suggest this be an option to turn on or off in the Options menu. Some people are compulsive wheel scrollers and they might find this addition annoying.
