Your faction color, as in the color your systems turn when you claim them.

Could really use some way to be able to change the color of an established faction. We have multiple factions right next to each other that all randomly got assigned the same color, and it would be very nice if we could change some of them.

A "Pick your Color" option, an admin command (/set_faction_color red) or even just put the stored color for each faction in a config file somewhere on the server so that the server owner can change it.

Agreed. You should also be able to change claimed system names, which would revert if you lose the system, and admins should be able to change the default names.
(And on a sidenote, the algorithm to generate default system names needs to be fixed. Galbopaluxmajor and Alphanombiscorfrey should not be system names.)

Why not let us pick up to 3 colors or so instead of just one? They'd be displayed in order from what they are selected creating a sort of flag on the territories we've claimed. :)

It would be nice if you could use color hex codes to make customization even more extensive, instead of just "red", "green", "blue", etc.

Being able to pick your factions colors is important and i fully support it.

Its important for both clarity and personalization, how many pale pink factions can stack up next to each other before the map becomes undecipherable.

    Neither should Anus (seen it)

I have seen several systems, mostly wormholes, called Car. I've seen a system called Bases, too. Not to mention terrible things like Bopafrinulon and Euseminin and Octanalux and all the single-letter and monosyllabic names like A, Ka, Ga, and so on...

Also, if the system generated "anus" that is not a sign that something's wrong at all tbh. One letter different would create perfectly valid names like Unus, Arnus, Anum, Anu... You get the point.

Why exactly are those 3 terrible? Because they are unpronouncable?(in which case I wonder why I can pronounce them all without problem :P )

Yep, I've seen at least three. The system needs more syllable control/generally better component listing and more intelligent combination; most names should be 2 or 3 syllables long and not 1 or around 5-7 as many of these are.

Not unpronouncable, but "Bopafrinulon" sounds ridiculous, and most of them just sound too... bad-1960s-sci-fi-ish.
