    Hi Schine,

I may have mentioned this somewhere else, but would love to be able to automate my docking.

What I would like is for logic input to activate the beam like with harvester cannon computers instead of changing the orientation of the block.

This would allow for a lot of automation, like auto docking of ships, cargo, drones, custom built missiles, weapons magazines (clips or missiles), AI controlled ships.

    Rail Docker Logic
    • Input activate docking beam to trigger automated docking.
    • Output activation block triggering for auto sensing of docked/undocked status.
[DOUBLEPOST=1446678822,1446675948][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh, I forgot to add, could we also have a faction control, so we can dock with allies or neutral faction entities. Or can this be handled by the faction permission block. I haven't used it yet sorry. I'm still new to using and getting use to the faction side of things properly.

That second part is handled by the faction permission block.

As for the topic idea yes this'd be useful. Could make it so the input when docked is like it is now it causes the ship to undock, but while undocked it fires the docking beam and tries to dock if able.

Meanwhile output is what you have there.

Wow, this came through to me as an e-mail alert. The first one I've seen since I've been using Starmade Dock.

Yeah, I've played around with the rails for a while now and have used the logic for remote undocking from both sides, but thought it was weird how the docker turns it's head like that. Not what I anticipated when I first tried it.

It would be nice to just have the beam activate and locking for automated docking.
