    Hey guys! Bc here,

So three weeks from now i am starting a RP streaming community in starmade, and a severe impediment in this plan is the inability to log out securely. When you log out in a ship, and the ship moves when you are gone, you get thrown into space, and are left stranded. There are several solutions to this problem i have thought up:

    1. a block of some sort, maybe a bed, placed on a ship, that you get inside of or sleep in, that brings up a menu, that allows you to chat, but if you log out while inside it, the block is "occupied" meaning nobody else can get inside of it until it is unoccupied. when the player that logged out logs back in, they will be inside the block with that interface, they can get out of the block and be teleported to the proper position near the block.

    2. using the basic functions of the /search command, the server locates the ship, and retrieves your previous relative coordinates to the ship core, and teleports you there.

    3. a return to ship device that can be given to each player on a ship, that is linked up to a block on the ship. Once used it teleports the player to the linked block.

I would really love to see this implemented in the game soon :D

    What do you guys think?

I think beds or perhaps cryotubes or something of the like are the best solution.

The 4th solution is to carry a bunch of cores on your inventory..
The 5th one is to use last entered ship on the navigation menu.

Those are still good ideas though.

And how do either of those solve the issue of the pilot of the ship you are a crew member of flying possibly hundreds of sectors? You shouldn't have to synchronize your play time with someone elses or else.

Wow, a bed-type block (or more accurately double-block) actually sounds like an excellent idea. It could even show a player's model on top of it.

    +1 to a great idea
+1 bonus point for suggesting a non-awkward interior block which is actually functional. The more of these sorts of things there are, the more people are likely to make cool interiors rather than just core-idors.

I like this idea. You could have space taxis for people who don't have jump-drives (Personally I think there should be some stealth based reason for not using them all the time) and the passengers could log out and do something else for a few minutes/hours during the journey.

I was thinking exactly of this the other night. A cryo chamber bock is the obvious solution here. A blue version of the undeathinator. You could use it to make any pod or bed design you want.
