Error when having both Starmade and OBS running

I'm getting an error every time I press left control in Starmade while having OBS running, it immediately causes the game to freeze when the window pops up.

It's definitely some interaction between Starmade and OBS, because it only happens while OBS is running. screenshot of error below.

How often does this happen?
I assume you're using left ctrl is this set to a hotkey in OBS?

I also use OBS and haven't come across this problem yet.

1. Every time I press left ctrl.
2. It is not set to any hotkey in OBS, I checked.

3. Yea, I can't find anything on this. Tomorrow I'll reinstall/update drivers and see if that fixes anything.

Geforce 840m, I also have an integrated graphics processor but I don't run Starmade through it.
