I am not sure if this is a bug or intended.
I have a ship, when I fire (its only) weapon, it uses 90% power.
If I shoot again quickly after that, naturally the weapon won't fire due to lack of power.
BUT, the "bug" is, for as long as I hold the left mouse button, the power regeneration stops.
As a player of course this isn't a huge problem, since I can quickly single-tap.
But, when I spawn the same type of ship as AI (pirate or trade, doesnt matter) , I notice the power regeneration is about 10 times slower then a player controlled ship.
Which is the result, of the AI switching fire on and off every second. (or wahtever interval it shoots, that is separate from the max firerate).
Firerate of player controlled ship is about 2 shots a second, and AI's about 0.5 a second.
Point being: When firing, and weapon power usage is greater that available power, instead of freezing current power, it should continue regenerating, because the shot isn't fired anyway due to lack of power.
Its a simple issue, but I hope I explained it correctly.

I forgot to say, it the current setup I have 4 weapon of the same type in hotbar.
So I fire weapon one, quickly switch to two and fire that one (holding left mouse button), resulting in not firing due to lack of power (normal), but also power not recharging (bug)
