Bug Mouse Control on Macbook pro

Starmade works perfectly fine on my macbook pro so long as I am using the trackpad. If I connect a separate mouse to the my laptop I can no longer navigate menus or use the advanced build options as the cursor is permanently tethered to the player. If I bring up advanced build or the menus the mouse still controls the player look.

Just tried toggling Caps Lock. There was no effect.

what model are you using (the computer)? I've run starmade with a USB wireless mouse with no problems on both a late 2010 15" mac book pro and a 2013 15" with retina display. the only time this happens to me is when caps lock is on.
