    Brotherhood Republic
    The Brotherhood Republic is a multi-server based faction. We make this possible without dividing up our forces by having a single sub-faction, or Legion, per server. The result looks very similar to a faction alliance, like the Brotherhood and Concord, but turned into the structure of a faction, which allows it to run smoothly without the worry of a faction leaving. To govern this faction, each Legion ruler, and their most trusted Officers, vote and discuss issues together before making a majority vote. This Republic system allows for each Legion and member to be equally represented while maintaining streamline efficiency. There are three main branches that make up the Republic: High Command, Militia, and Industry. All Legions will be categorized under a single branch (Militia or Industry) but may contain members from both. Each main branch also has sub-branches, which a Legion may classify as.

    Ranking

    To make the best faction possible a new ranking system has been created to allow all players to be rewarded for their hard work and dedication. This system also allows players to advance themselves and not be an Airman or Builder forever but eventually a Commander in charge of a fleet.

    High Command: Earned through hard work, proven trust, and the ability to be an effective leader. Fly their personal capital ship and have a voice in all decisions made for the Republic.

    Admiral
    The leader of the Republic who is responsible for speaking for the Brotherhood as a whole, hosting meetings and courts, and helping retain stability.

    Commander
    Leads a Legion and makes faction decisions. This is the highest attainable position unless the Admiral resigns.

    Officer
    Picked by a Commander to serve as the second in command. This position is essential to relaying information from the members to High Command. Every ten members in a Legion receive an Officer to represent them.


    Militia: Fly medium-heavy weight ships and are the main fighting force in the faction.

    Lieutenant
    Highest level achievable in the Militia. Players are able to become an officer once this rank is reached.

    Captain
    Earned through high performance during a major battle. Considered to be a leader of example in your Legion’s Militia, therefore receiving the power to lead organized attacks.

    Master Sergeant
    This rank is only received through hard work, dedication, and multiple battle victories. Players are able to be picked as an officer once this rank is reached.

    Sergeant
    Gained by proving skills through a battle victory.

    Airman first-class
    Title given to the dedicated Airmen who have proven their loyalty by being active.

    Airman
    Basic rank given to all new members of a Legion’s Militia.


    Corps: The corps, a Militia sub-branch, are experts in land combat. They use everything from hand guns and mechs to boarding and drop ships. They are essential for taking over planets and stations.

    Corporal
    Highest level achievable for a Corps member. This rank is earned through extemporary leadership skills during a battle.

    First Sergeant
    Given to members who have proven their leadership abilities. Can now lead approved assaults.

    Tech Sergeant
    This rank is earned through high performance during battles. Players are able to be picked as an officer once this rank is reached.

    Specialist
    Gained by participating in a successful attack or defensive mission.

    Private
    Title given to the dedicated Recruits who have proven their loyalty by being active.

    Recruit
    Basic rank given to all new members in the Corps.


    Industry: Build the ships to which we will use in combat and then do repairs afterward. Members of Industry can also be a fighter or fly repair ships in combat.

    Chief Engineer
    Highest level achievable for a member of Industry. Earned through multiple high performance team Heavy Weight builds that have been battle proven.

    Tech Engineer
    Earned through high performance builds that have been battle proven. Has the power to head up large scale projects.

    Engineer
    This Rank is reached once multiple ships are adopted as official designs. Players are able to be picked as an officer once this rank is reached.

    Shipwright
    Achieved once a ship design passes testing and becomes an official Republic design.

    Builder first-class
    Title given to the dedicated Builders who have proven their loyalty by being active.

    Builder
    Basic rank given to all new members of Industry.



    Ship Classification

    Our ship classification guideline has been forged to guide a player’s builds to create powerful ships that will serve our purpose. Our ships are black with brown details and the emblem is made from ice crystals or brown hull. All ship names will follow the following format: name_classification

    The ships we use are designed to be efficient while still retaining visual appeal. We use a uniform style to make our fleet look impressive, but the best part is what is under the hull.



    The Creed

    This Branch is made up of all the Commanders, their officers, and the Admiral. Each Commander has his own faction on a different server. Any and all decisions have to be voted on and a majority vote is the only way an idea will be acted upon. High Command has several responsibilities:

    i. High Initiative An Initiative is an act by the High Command. These can range from declaring war to creating a treaty. All Initiative requires participation from all Commanders and Officers and requires a majority vote to be passed.
    a. Revival Initiative
    If a Legion that's part of the Republic goes under, High Command will assume temporary control of the faction and attempt to reinstate a chain of command. This will last until the Legion is fully operational again or is deemed unfit to operate and a majority vote to dismiss it is passed.
    b. Genesis Initiative
    The Republic can undergo a very special protocol, "Genesis", in which it helps an Officer create a Legion on a new server. Once created, the Legion is instantly accepted into the Republic, without vote, and gains full rights. If anyone wants to engage in a Genesis Protocol, simply message the Admiral.

    ii. Creating Amendments to the Republic
    In order to add or change something to the Republic, the change must undergo a strict process.

    a. High Command must decide whether an amendment is necessary; a majority must agree.

    b. High Command then writes the amendment and proposes it to their members.

    c. After this point, every Commander votes, and a majority vote is required to add it to the Republic.

    d. The Amendment is then added to the Republic or dismissed.

    iii. Weekly Reports
    Every Commander is required to report in to the Admiral at least once a week through the High Command message. Although these are not formal meetings, they are mandatory so that all of High Command remains informed.

    The Militia is the military based branch of the Republic that is in charge of the defense. This includes organizing attacks, setting up defenses, and piloting ships.

    i. Corps: The Corps is a sub branch of the Militia. The main difference between the two being that the Corps only flies small craft, mostly drop ships and fighters, and organizes and performs land based battles, either on planets or enemy bases.

    ii. Mercs: Mercs are another sub branch of the Militia. While they perform very similar tasks as the Militia, they do them to assist allied or neutral factions to get a profit. The money earned is used to buy new equipment and shared with any other Legion on their current server. This is the only Legion that can go on the same server as another, as long as it is temporary. Only one Mercs Legion is allowed in the Republic.

    Industry is in charge of all ship design and construction. Once a ship is completed and passed through proper inspections, testing, and approval of the High Command, it can become an official Republic ship and be used by the Militia. All ships are required to use the Brotherhood ships classification system.

    i. Trading Guild: The Trading Guild is a sub category of industry which involves the collection and trading of resources for the purpose of building ships. They are NOT authorized to trade official Republic blueprints.

    Joining is a simple process. First are the requirements: The applying faction must have existed for two weeks, and have at least five active members. The faction must be active on at least one public or generally easy to join server. Here is the process to join:

    i. Send a message to the Admiral, who'll immediately bring up a meeting with High Command to discuss whether the faction should be brought into the Brotherhood.
    ii. If agreed upon, a vote is brought up. The applying faction must get a majority vote to be accepted into the Brotherhood.
    iii. If they win the vote, they become a Legion in the Republic and their leader becomes a Commander. If the applying faction fails to get accepted, they cannot apply again until 30 days have passed.

    A Legion being dismissed from the Republic is a very rare thing that is taken very seriously. Here is the process of dismissal:

    i. High Command holds a trial where the Commander, from the Legion being discussed, represents his/her members.
    ii. A vote is then brought up. The Legion on trial must receive a majority vote to be dismissed.
    iii. If the vote is to dismiss the Legion, they are instantly banned from the Republic and considered hostile. If the vote is to not dismiss the Legion, the Commander gains all powers back.

    The laws for war are as followed:

    i. Members of the Brotherhood are not to attack each other in any scenario. Self-defense is the only exception.
    ii. Members can war freely against Non-Republic factions, unless said faction is part of an alliance with the Republic.
    iii. If a member is engaged in war, he can request Brotherhood support. He can also propose for it to become a Republic Initiative.
    iv. Members are to only attack another player if fired upon first or directed to by a superior.
    v. No Legion or member is allowed to par take in a forum war.

    Relations are a very important part of the Republic. Here are the laws related to them.

    i. Members of the Republic are generally expected to assist each other where possible. If a member requests help, any member able to reply and respond should do so by joining the Legion, on their server, in need of assistance.
    ii. Members are not to interrupt the economy of other members.
    iii. Alliances between the Republic and another Faction are decided by High Command by a majority vote.

    Series of laws that all members are expected to obey.

    i. No attacking fellow members or other Legions
    ii. All will be done to assist Brothers and Legions in need of support
    iii. All official blueprints will be given to Brothers and Legions for free
    iv. Obey your superiors
    v. Only attack if fired upon or directed to by a superior
    vi. Always put the Republic before other alliances
    vii. All decisions will be made through a majority vote of the High Command
    a. All Commanders will have an equal vote
    b. Commanders will represent the interest of their Legion
    viii. No Brother is allowed to par take in a forum war
    ix. All of the following are viewed as treason
    a. A Legion that attempts to break off from the Republic
    b. A member that releases secrets of military tactics, plans, and/or official blueprints
    c. Any attempt to harm the Republic and its properties including Sabotage and espionage
    x. The allies of a Legion are the allies of the Republic

Spending long nights on the empty space lanes of the galaxy, I've gained a lot of experience working the long empty lanes of deep space to help expedite my travels. And on my long journeys I've learned to fend for myself in the darkness of space.

    Not really. The Republic is just focusing on building at the moment so thanks for your application, I will make sure to contact you once our military becomes more active. aka when battles can actually be fought in StarMade without major lag.

Feel free to still apply for the Brotherhood Republic fleets and join us on the Mushroom Fleet server. (All apps require at least one picture of your ships)

    It was only the disbandment of a legion as to allow for more building and less diplomacy! And thanks for the luck :p
