WARNING SIGNS TEXTURE REPLACEMENTS (FOR DEFAULT PACK)
Well,i was making these for my lets-play.but I thought it would be cool to share them with you guys IF you want them. . (they replace the ingot textures,i didnt find them all that important :p )

I took few more minutes to make all ..64x ,128x ,256x textures so everyone can have them.
just extract the content of the .rar file using WinRar,copy/paste and replace the default texture pack folder with the one inside the folder provided in this download:

I just downloaded few pictures,pretty em up a bit,and slapped them in.
I wonder tho,will we ever see something more official like this? :P

Potentially, yes. Decals applied like our mineral / crystal textures would be most useful i think.
