OK this is rather annoying. Was working on a large rack meant to drop a base on each plate of a planet in one go but now I'm too the point where it is so laggy I can't even move enough to dock the last 2 sub racks. I've got no clue why this is happening either. >_>

Are you near a planet? They will do that.

nope nowhere near a planet, near a rack of turrets well it's several copies of itself docked together also my ping in general is in the 500s near the spawn shop. >_>

First I would try starting a new world and see what your ping is like. if its really bad then there is an issue related with the game and your hardware. If not.....

I would suggest using admin commands to remove the turrets. I had an issue after one of the recent updates that undocked all my drones from their rails while they were in my mothership. They caused a lagstorm even though you could not really notice any movement. though in my drones case they were all stuck inside the ship. I assume your turrets are all external to what ever they are docked too so this may not apply to you.

I noticed tremendous graphics lag recently when a group of pirates decided to crash against my planet (I seem to have collision damage off). <1 FPS. I went /destroy_entity on each of them, and once there was only one remaining, the lag disappeared. Maybe it's a collision detection thing?

Ive noticed *alot* of lag and bugs when docking entities to things. I had 5 ships docked to a station each of those had multiple small aa turrets and they just started teleporting all over the place, then i got teleported 5 sectors away with *nothing* created multiple new worlds and each of them have the same thing going on. No crashes, but lots and lots of teleporting turrets, and ships, and once even a station.

Seeing a lot of world restarts but I've got my single player world setup as a nice build area and don't want to have to go through this over and over again. XD

In any event I'll post up pics of the offender and a single mode version of it and see if anyone else has issues with it later and ways to fix the issue. So far no rail DCing going on just a really complicated object with lots of exposed bars.

I did read in another thread that when an entity is docked, and its bounding box intersects with the box of the entity it is docked to, then more complex collision detection has to take place. I don't know if its continuous or just when docking. IF it is continuous it could be that certain docked turrets/drones/whatever could be causing extra collision detections on the computer. Such detections are complex and use a lot of CPU power to calculate. No way to tell though without testing what your working on. So when you post your offender I will try to check it out and see if I can find the issue. Could be something else entirely but this is my current theory.

I have alot of offenders, well, i did have alot of offenders, i can send you a screenshot of the startbase i was using that i had to delete completely and start over, but other than that, until i encounter the glitch again i cant really do anything else!

OK downloaded your file and test spawned it. I have zero lag coming from it. SO, that blows my concept of collision lag. could you just have too many of them spawned for your computer to handle?
