Well seeing that you attacked a base with no defenses is well worth it.

On the contrary, the base was defended. Some invisible weapon from somewhere was shooting large invisible AMC bullets at my ship when I was flying around it.
I parked it right next to your "Invisible Hand" and suddenly after a minute of using my ships buildmode to look through the insides of your ship, I suddenly got spammed to death with AMC's out of nowhere and died.

that's what I use build mode for, to look inside ships, and of course to build. No invisible bullets ever killed me.

Everybody uses build mode for observation. You're at a disadvantage if you don't.
