What? What does the Borg have to do with anything?

I'm not saying that Halo is more customizable I'm saying it is customizable via Forge.

Have you tried using Ships on planets? Its messy and not the best thing to play with. Ground Warfare in Starmade is not only unnecessary but also frustrating and un-feasible unless your a heavy roleplay faction on a heavy roleplay server.

I honestly think this is a bad idea if you try to use it as intended :u but not all bad.

In Vaygr, we often went off to other games as a group (me being poor rarely could follow though o Ao), and then played said game as a team :u Its a good Team exercise that would bring the faction closer and all that trust stuff, plus can help pass the time while you want for events to happen.

While it can not be a replacement for Starmade battles for factions, doesnt mean you still cant do it ._. Again, its a fun trust exercise :u so if you can pull other factions into a occasional event, then thats a good thing, brings a part of the community closer and might help these annoying Flame wars.

That being said, Might want to go for a PC game, preferably a Free one that you can set up a lobby/teams. Call it a Community event (as opposed to a server/faction event). Hell, you could set up a Volts (Minecraft Modpack) Server, have some teams drawn and start a war (2 day thing, building bases while destroying other's).

The Idea isnt -Bad-, its just not gonna be what you expect it to be :p Not to fight wars, but rather to dick aroud and all that jazz.

Better idea: Faction Warfare on Halo: Custom Edition.
    Pros:
There are many ways to get it for free.
It's easy to mod, and it would be possible to add major faction's ships.
It's a PC game, and thus no-one would need to buy an XBox.
As there are only 2000 players or so, no many intrusions would happen.

    Cons:
Its master server goes down at the end of the month, though some dedicated fans are trying to set up a new one.
Its an old game, and its physics engine needs a revamp.
There's a hardcoded limit on how many players can be on a server at a time.

    2. Faction warfare is already viable & alive.
You seem to be the only person who thinks so then. The only real wars are flare wars on servers, and destroying what ever is not tied down to a homebase when the enemy are offline.

This is a good idea in its basic concept, but I dont think it will work overall

The thing about Halo CE (Custom Edition) PC is that you need to buy one that is unopened otherwise you risk someone already having used the KEY Code.

As far as engine and physics I know a mod that blows those out of the way. It basically brings the graphics to Reach Quality adds the famed BR-55 and DMR. It also increases all the other behind the scenes things. Another Bonus is it adds more areas to the campaign maps. In general it adds everything from all the other Halo games.

As far as I can tell Comr4de didn't quite understand where I was going with this.

We can all agree ground combat isn't worth anything in Starmade right?
Not only can you be killed by a fighter from orbit but the planets are tiny and actually having a war on planets would take extreme planning. Thats not so in Halo.

Nigga, ground combat hasn't been fleshed out because the space combat is already sorely lacking in so many fields. When the next update comes out, not only will ship-ship combat be more fleshed out, but planets will be MUCH larger, with the potential for each planetary face to be as large as the current planetary disks.

I see where you're going with this. You'd rather fight in Halo to resolve starmade conflicts, which is still absurd.

PS: Being shot from orbit really /is/ the end-all of space warfare. Just sayin'.

I know several 'key code generators'. We could find a reliable one, and use it.

I don't understand why you used that first word. What I am saying is we use an actual FPS that is done instead of half slapped together Starmade Ground Warfare since that is not exactly the basis of this game.
