New kind of ship cores

    I would like to see u adding new kind of ship cores named like "light ship core" it would have same size as standard shipcore but would have like i don't know other collor and t would feature those parameters:
    -Evry single block placed on it wold have been resized so in a cube of 1x1x1 would fit 10x10x10 blocks;
    -Evry single block's mass would be decrased by 1000 so it would have exactly same mas as normal block
    -Evry single block's parameters like shields cap or shield reg per block would be working the same way
    -power blocks will have changed dimension calc so it will be boosted 1000x so there will be no problems with power
    -There would be a limiter also that ur ship could not go higher than 20x20x20 normal dimension.

    Its very hard to implement and I dont think it will perform well, all game using voxel have cubes of the same size for a reason.

    The point of this is to make a new kind of ships that are very agile smaller faster and not so big as 2 sectors to be effective. Mby u dont agree but i dont see ships so big as 2 sectors as ships their more like moving space stations than ships. so if we had a difrent size of blocks smaller ones it would give more possibilities to make smal effective ships/fighters

    I'm pretty sure the game can't support this. Also, it'd be really laggy if it could. No.

    No one is flying ships that big. The absolute BIGGEST size people fly around is around 1000m, or kilonauts, and those are exceptionally rare.

    I'm pretty sure that we're already moving away from even using cores in the first place in the future. At least, that's how it feels, with the Center of Mass stuff I keep hearing about being in the dev build.

    So, why would one need a new core for that? Make smaller ships using current rules and the core - there is a capability scaling and caps for other blocks exactly so one type of core can be used for all kinds of ships.

    Granted, the usefulness of vessels of varied sizes is questionable, with big ships commonly being seen as too easily crewable (1 player no matter the amount, complexity and size of subsystems) and achievable for their capabilities or ease of construction (just pile the blocks, it'll work) but that's a matter of balance, not a reason to create variation on core (which would probably require their own balancing).

    On top of that, I'd rather not have Schine add additional block which would actually require change of the core engine/scale to be used (variable block sizes), especially since cores in general should be something that we'd abandon for the sake of actual cockpits (in smaller vessels) and command bridges - something already regularly suggested, waited for and even acknowledged by the devteam as under consideration.
