what i'me suggesting is a faction of alien bugs and their corrispoding "stations" and attack groups

Space bees large swarms of ai bee mobs that spawn when you attack a hive space station they will attack your ship up to a range of 1.4km away from their hive if you attack it.

space wasps very angry large swarms of bee like mobs that unlike the bees are aggressive from the start and will swam and attack you in massive numbers if you get anywhere near their hive.

space spiders. will randomley infest your ships and build web blocks in the corridors. web blocks cannot be placed on other web blocks. they will eat other insects and generally not bother you unless you get close

space mosquitos. massive groups of ai mobs of 100 to 800 that will swarm you ships and drain it of power and shields.

Please bring up other types of space bugs in the comments
[DOUBLEPOST=1432059699,1432059604][/DOUBLEPOST]mayby not so large swarms of bugs. but there should be lots of them

lolthere is something even better planned, here is something from the recent newsletter:

As you all know the universe in StarMade is a big place, however, all that space can leave things feeling a bit.. empty at times. The fauna system has been in development for a long time, however recently, Saber and Kupu have redoubled their efforts to bring mobs to the game. This has been a relatively slow process, as adding in mobs isn't just a matter of modeling, animating and exporting a few meshes. It involves an immense amount of planning and troubleshooting. With all that space to populate, having a handful of unique mobs simply isn't enough. Because of that, we have been developing a system for procedurally generating mobs. By programmatically alternating various parts, we can make virtually endless mobs to fill the universe with.

Initial implementation of the mobs will appear fairly basic at first. Due to the nature of creature modularity, a few "whole" mobs have been created to allow for further refinement and testing of the procedural functionality. After the first few are added and the process is fully refined, the team will begin creating additional "pre-made" mobs, as well as additional parts which can be added to better diversify the existing mobs. The plan is to eventually have mobs which are created entirely out of modular parts, rather than conceptualized and created with one mob in mind.

In the midst of all this, we've been working on a few concepts regarding player gear (tools, weapons, etc.) There are currently some new player weapon models in progress, but all other gear is in early concept stages. At the moment however, the primary focus for our 3D Art Team at this time is the modular mob system.
