Question about Some New Blocks

I've been unable to play SM, because the school year started in February and I've not had spare time, when looking through texture files to start on a texture pack, I saw some new textures

I recognise one of them as a conduit that was being discussed a few months ago, but there is also what appears to be a computer I am unfamiliar with. Is the computer linked to the conduit? If so do they have a purpose or are they just decorative?

Thanks, oh one more thing, are the blank textures on the left just the ends of the Conduit Blocks?
