Can you put two wedges in one space?

I'd love to be able to put say a standard armor wedge and a plex door wedge in the same block position, flipped so that the two halves made one solid block. I have a lot of hatchways for instance that I make round using wall wedges.

Is there a way to push a door wedge up flush with a wall wedge?

No, if they were to be on the same entity they would need to be their own block id, and that would add far too many id's to add. It may be possible with rails.

It works partially with rails, I believe a few rotations don't work that way (yet). It's a bit messy to do apparently but maybe at release it will work for every type, as long as they don't clip through each other it should be fine.

I've had them stop part way past each other. Haven't tried other orientations though.

Yeah it's not exactly working for most, and in some cases completely messes up ^^ I haven't checked all rotations yet but I'll do this evening.

Yeah, thats what I was afraid of. Means making door hatches 3 blocks thick with the middle block being a completely square door. Oh well.

I have often wished for an option on wedge blocks to "meld" with another block via the master-slave mechanic, where if you slave a hull block to the wedge, the empty space is filled in as if there was another wedge in that same block that matches the slave, without needing another block ID. However, it would need to use another bit. Maybe it could reuse a bit that isn't normally used on wedge blocks?
