Deep Space Loot to Ship Storage

When fighting pirates, many times you get a satisfying loot cloud floating in space. Fly through it, pick up loot, nice and simple.

Except that all the loot goes into your personal inventory, meaning after virtually every cloud you have to stop, sort into ship inventory, and keep going.

Could we instead have floating blocks go directly into ship storage as opposed to our personal inventories?

If you see it as shaming, you shouldn't be doing it.

If its a popular request, its popular for a reason, a lot of people want it. If threads keep popping up, its a constant reminder that there is a desire for it, and that it isn't something that should get put on the back shelf.

Frankly, if I thought someone was using it to intentionally shame someone, I'd report them for it.

Or not collect at all. Salvage beams (even if just a single block) should pick it up the last time I've tested it.

I tried that actually. Salvage beams do not hit floating "loot" blocks. They have to be solid set objects.

Would be nice if I could fire a salvage beam into the cloud of stuff, my mining ship has plenty of storage.
