This is replica of the USS Monitor from 1862 in roughly 1.66:1 scale. It was created for RP, and features a working screw, a pivoting rudder, and a dimly lit and basic interior, much like the original.
More information about the actual Monitor can be found here: USS Monitor - Wikipedia
Build Notes:
- The weapons are beams rather than missiles, because the missiles required much more power output than this little thing could muster. Its firepower was laughable when I cut down on the missile modules.
- I wasn't able to scale the interior appropriately, but tried to keep it as functional as possible, while still making it aesthetically pleasing.
- The turret is also not a turret. I couldn't get the firepower I wanted from it with only a turret, even with beams.
