Cyberspace Shipyards, Inc. has discovered a gravitationally bound duo of asteroids, the smaller of which happened to orbit its host fast enough to fit an unusual stargate patent. The design features an enormous yet light carbon fiber framework fixed onto the larger asteroid, extending all the way to the other's orbit, holding a ring structure in the little one's path, with an opening of sufficient diameter to allow it to pass through. The principle of operation relies on harvesting the rapidly revolving asteroid's orbital energy.
As 1.6 million metric tons of dense silicate matter passes through the hoop, its moving "gravitational well" is carried through with it. As the dynamic dent in the fabric of spacetime traverses the hoop, specialized equipment in the ring's circumference amplify the leftover field distortion, via graviton resonance. The asteroid moves out of the way, the captured curvature is artificially bent to infinity, and an Einstein-Rosen bridge opens, stable for just enough time to fly through... that is, if the mountain doesn't slam into the user on its next lap! ;-)
