Yes indeed, this ship is from before the age even of new weapons and shields, though they were updated, jumpdrives were not.

I've already had to update the weapons, they are current, save for lacking effects and not having anything like a laser. I probably will not add a jump drive as I have no substantial room to put it, so if there was one, it would be the slowest jump drive in the history of the world. Still, I am glad you like it.

This was made before display modules - I'd probably put signage around nowadays, the bridge (or AI core) is a bit hard to find tucked away as it is. Glad you like it!

Thank-you for your detailed review. I've been meaning to update to weapons (and shields) but it's so horribly tiresome to do so; I've done it on a few other ships but they only serve as proof of how cumbersome it will be with an incredibly complicated and internally dense ship like The Black.

It's not hidden, if that is what you are wondering; there MIGHT be doors closing off the chamber, not sure if the saved version here has the doors open or closed... in any acy it's.. uhh.. hard to describe, I suppose the best advice I can give you is to target the ship and just home in on it, it's up some lit ramps next to some windows.

It does need retrofitting, but it's such a pain with my weapon designs.

I was sure I'd replied to this already... weird.
The larger turrets have access hatches at the top, the smaller ones do not. but you can set the ai by selecting them as an astronaut and going to the AI menu. :)
OR you can just turn them all on through the structure panel by going to "turret docking system collective" then "Engage all AI"
