Starbug

    Starbug 3.0

    Game version
    v0.201.378
Version 3: I've updated the ship's power systems, and managed to get the ship to 174.6 meters per second. I've also included in this zip file an empty Starbug shell, that has no power or shield systems of any kind so if anyone wants to experiment with their own version, they're able to do so without having to spend time removing every system.

Version 2: Just did a revamp of the inside of the ship, and stripped away the old power system for the new one. Haven't added much besides a new room that can be a random room for whatever a player wants it to be, made the rear engines look more like how they should look, some more cargo slots, and a button for the loading ramp, and that can be a pain to close without closing the door on yourself.

Version 1: I've always been a fan of the show "Red Dwarf", so I figured I'd try my hand at replicating the ship in game. It has a top speed of 105.1, power output of 117,919.4, shields are 10,116, and the structure is 100,440.

Due to the size of the ship, I couldn't feature everything from the show in game, so I focused on the cockpit, bunk room, main hall, and a sort of engineering room. There's a little bit of cargo room, but not sure how much as this is the first ship I ever built from scratch, so I'm a little fuzzy on a few things.

Just a heads up, since I made the landing ramp a door, it can be real easy to accidentally close the door when you're trying to close it, or turn off the light above the door. I've had both happen to me.

    Hope you enjoy my ship.

Just... WOW. 5 stars for the ship and for making me fall under the table laughing. That thing is sooooo hilarious...

Although, requires some wedging and slabbing, plus the ladder could be made not so triangle-like.

Thanks for the review. Yeah, I wished I could make a better ladder that didn't look like a door, but I might change it up a bit in the near future. I'll have to look at pictures of what the ladder looked like in the show.
Looks cool friend! It looks very similar to the real thing. My only suggestion for improving this would probably be about adding some Wedges to make the shape look much better, some more details. Otherwise: System-wise and Interior-wise, no problem! :D

Thanks for the review. I might try some wedges in the future, but given how difficult it was to build this, I might wait for a larger Starbug to attempt that. I did however change the little rocket things on the bottom to pipes on my Starbug in game, instead of the boosters which I used in the original design. If I make enough changes, I might upload a v2.1, but not sure yet.
