(NOTE: Do not confuse this with the OFFICIAL Scavengers which can be found in Criss' Thread)

Several days ago, Trident probes investigated a report of a missing ship, the TRV Endeavor, in sector 223. Briefly after the automated probe found the vessel, Trident Command lost contact with it.

This was it's last transmitted image before we lost contact:

Trident Command has dispatched several vessels to investigate these unknown ships and determine if they are a threat.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Scavenger Fleet is a little experiment of mine, prompted when one of our Freedom-class Frigates was damaged in battle. I got a BP of it and found it to still be somewhat intact, so I began modifying the damaged ship chaotically with brown plating and parts from other ships. Pleased with the result, I began modifying other ships the same way, damaging them with warheads to simulate battle damage.

The Scavenger Fleet is made up of chaotically modified versions of the Trident Mercury II-, Freedom II-, Hammerhead-, Hyperion-, Typhoon- and Athena-class vessels. All Scavenger Fleet vessels share several visual characteristics, including red interior lighting, sparking conduits (yellow rods linked to logic), damaged/failing reactors and engines, and heavy battle damage. The Freedom II has two levels of Scav-ification, with differing numbers of bodged addons and differing amount of patchwork, while the Mercury II has three levels of Scav-ification and has the most obvious progress through those three levels.

    Their roles:

    • The Hammerhead fulfils the role of heavy fighter/bomber with it's oversized missile launcher ripped off a Trident Prowler-class warship. It's reactor has been diverted to power the massive gun, with limited success.
    • The Hyperion fulfils the role of escort corvette. With it's mostly intact weapons and shielding, it's able to adequately defend other Scavenger vessels.
    • The Typhoon fulfils the role of boarding vessel. It has adequate interior space for about ten Scavengers to climb aboard and attempt to take over damaged ships and wrecks to restore for the nomadic Scavenger fleet.
    • The Mercury II fulfils the role of armed mining vessel/freighter. Scavengers never stay in one place, so their need for armed freighters is greater than that of the Trade Guild or established factions. The Mercury II has had an entire salvage array from an old Trident Mulcher-class Salvage Corvette bolted to the front to replace the destroyed original array. While Scavengers prefer to take vessels intact where possible. there is also a need for spare parts and raw materials to make parts, so the Scavengers converted the hangar bay into an expansive cargo bay. Some variants of the Scavenger Mercury IIs have also had an additional superstructure with turrets bolted on to the starboard side.
    • The Freedom II fulfils the role of command vessel. The most intact of the Scavenger ships, the Freedom II houses the Scavenger captains and the best trained engineers in the Scavenger fleet. The Freedom II has a mostly intact interior and features extensive additional weapon systems besides the original plasma cannons and missiles, and is suited for frontline combat despite the obvious remaining damage.
    • The Athena fulfils the role of main battle frigate. The heaviest and hardest-hitting vessel in the Scavenger fleet, the Athenas are called on when facing heavy resistance from Trident or Trade Guild vessels. It's phased ion beam allows it to strip hostile vessels' shields ready for boarding parties to begin taking over the hostile ship, and its dual heavy plasma cannons have incredible firepower to deal with hostiles if they cannot take their ships by force.
These ships are intended for RP or pirate usage on servers and are accordingly scaled with appropriate systems for different levels of players.

Now we Need a mash up with: Calderon/Trident/Trinova/Thryn etc...
