Republic ETA-2 Actis-Class Interceptor

    Republic ETA-2 Actis-Class Interceptor 2.0

A fine piece of work! Now hopefully starmade gives us ways so the ring is a little nicer to use... particularly have it dock to the ship so we can stay in the ship and fly
A little late for seeing this but Your ARC-170 and other recent updates led me here! This is fantastic and really well done! I love it absolutely.

Only thing I could think to improve on is to have the Ring come Coupled with the Interceptor so that the wireless logic blocks are already connected. Not that it's difficult to figure out where to connect them to; It'd just be a quality of life thing.
looks great, but I cant figure out how to enter the darn thing without removing the glass in the cockpit. also every time I try to use the hyperspace ring I just wreck it when i collide with it. I dont understand what rail docking is btw

There is a slit between the armor and the button on the inside of the cockpit that you can press 'r' to open the canopy. Once you enter the core you have two rail docker blocks on your hot bar. One rail docker is for landing and securing the fighter on a hanger deck while the second is located on top of a wing. That one has a camera you can switch to by using the right and left arrow keys. When in that camera view, you can use it to align yourself to easily docked to the ring. In flight mode you can select that docker and left click and it will fire a beam that you need to hit the rail on the hyperspace ring. When you dock with the ring you will need to follow the directions above to set up the wireless block in order to properly undock from the ring. I hope this clears it up.
So I decided to do a review on my friends Actis here so you can know what to expect once you have it in game.

So I have personally tested the ETA-2 Actis-class Jedi Starfighter and the Sylurie-45 Hyperspace Ring it uses for jumps. The ring takes approx. 14 seconds to fully charge from a dead state, and I believe it's set or can be set to draw thrust power from the starfighter. It has two clamps that clamp under the mandibles of the fighter once it's docked. A logic remote in the fighter rotates the clamps out of the way then undocks the starfighter from the ring. At this point you can drift down and fly through the lower half of the ring, Kenobi-style!

The fighter is very maneuverable, but does take some time to slow its momentum to a full stop. The thrust update, being a blessing, also added a problem when it comes to controlling a ship's speed like we could before the update. Thing's no longer "stop on a dime," so to speak. Regardless, the fighter easily meets the Faulken Standard of Starfighters with logic crammed in every place you can hide it. You got two twin laser cannons (mandibles and flight pod chin), logic cockpit hatch, logic S-Foils, logic landing gear, and a wireless block you must manually link from the starfighter to the ring. The wireless block can be accessed from the interior of the starfighter, and on the top of horizontal superstructure that the fighter docks to on the ring. Both wireless modules are in plain sight so it a cake walk.

I have already added a few upgrades of my own to it, since that is what I do, lol. TBH, it has everything I want in it, out of the box. I did add a dorsal docking rail on top of the flight pod just in case I need it, and I added a cargo system as well. One cargo box behind the flight pod where there is a solid grey block, and the cargo space is underneath behind the rail docker in another unused block space. It comes in really handy, and for RP purposes, it's the spare parts container Kenobi uses in Ep. III at the beginning.

Overall, one of his best, most fun, and and most accurate releases to date. I suggest to anyone that likes this ship to check out White's other builds.
great job mate keep up the hard work :3
amazing job on both ship and the ring!! as accurate as it can get in the game!
