The Paragon are a genetically engineered soldier-species usually hellbent on exterminating humanity, but this Exoatmospheric Vehicle Operator was ripped from that universe by the Advent Fracture. With no hope of return, there is little incentive to follow those old ways.
Although already incredibly strong, the Paragon wear an advanced Artificial Muscle Exosuit, enhancing their strength 20x. Additionally, they're armored with a slightly radioactive super-dense metal alloy.
Due the high amount of heat it generates, the AMEX (Artificial Muscle EXosuit) is exposed in many areas; if fully armored, high usage would literally cook the user cook alive.
