Create a flat surface, with a checkerboard of notches underneath(Exactly like in the GIF).
You then engage it by simply disabling the activated force field, preferably from the wireless blocks in the sides, and then floating into the floor, and reactivating the force field. It should jump a bit as it slides into the nearest slot(or into space, if it didn't line up). Activate it from the core, and watch it move.
