The Generation 2 light level 3 turrets are the heaviest variant of light turret available for the LSPC navy and functions as the principle Flack turret for the LSPC Navy. The turret like all turrets in the G2 series comes in 3 variants of a cannon (rapid fire-overdrive) , (missile swarm- explosive) and beam variant ( cutting beam – piercing effect) allowing for a wide range of versatility and weapon layouts to counter an enemy defenses systems. While the smaller L1 and L2 turrets represent the anti- fighter craft defense of the small vessels of the LSPC Fleet the L3 represents the ultimate counter to all but the most overwhelming drone warms. As such the weapons systems is typically found on the larger capital sized vessels those ships whose lack of maneuverability leaves them vulnerable to swift enemy fighter swarms. Equipped with batteries of such turrets these capital ships not only have no worry of enemy swarms but become an effective counter to them by the sheer unrelenting fire power that the L3 turrets can provide.
Created to engage fast light targets the turret has a high traverse angle and able to maintain devastating fire to ripe through anything lighter than advance armor. However, despite the turrets focus on firepower it also maintains a high degree of survivability being well armored and shielded it is more than capable to withstand counter fire of any enemy fighter or bomber. The L3 would certainly make any ship a force to be reckoned with and coming in 10 deferent color variants it can be easily utilized for any fleet that wishes to increases their firepower.
