LSPC G2 M3 turret pack
“The firepower of a frigate now in a turret” Introducing the new G2 M3 turret pack the largest of the medium turrets and purpose made to knocking out any cruiser sized vessel out of action.
The G2 M3 turret is the largest model of medium turrets employed by LSPC faction and are considered the spare no expense cruiser killers of the fleet. Unlike the previous medium turret models the M3 is through and through an anti-capital ship weapon only mountable on other capital sized vessels or space stations. As a result, the M3 packs some serious firepower matching or even exceeding the fire power of many typical frigate designs with over 32.2 k dps few shield systems outside of battleship’s can afford to ignore the bombardment of these weapons. As it is expected for these turrets to be firing against cruiser and destroy sized vessels then we can also expect return fire as well and thus the M3 is built to also take a hit. Equipped with its own power supply it can maintain its own shield system in addition to this the turrets are heavily armored being nearly encapsulated by armor preventing damage from any heavy fighters or corvette class ships looking to single out and disable these weapons.
The M3 comes in three distinct weapon variants each one specializing at taking down a portion of the enemy’s defenses. The beam variant fires long range sniper laser at enemy targets and sheer the shields away with its ion effect, then the cannon variant equipped with a rapid-fire punch through effect ripper’s through enemy hull like paper, and finally the missile variant fires lock on high explosive missiles to blast away the enemy’s exposed interior obliterating its subsystems. The combined firepower of the turret variants is ideally suited to render enemy ships into scrape metal. Like all LSPC turret pack all variants are available in all colors to be used in any way
The M3 has very high traverse range able to attack targets at both high and low degrees of fire.
An old frigate was used for test firing and after 30 seconds of sustained fire the results are clear.
