A huge plus for the asymmetrical designs, they really look like they were mostly scrapped together by a bunch of pirates who went only for combat efficiency and not for any kind of aesthetic design, yet they all look threatening enough to actually make whoever faces them worried - and then they can prove the worries weren't unfounded.
