Khaldrin Turret Pack

    Khaldrin Turret Pack V1

    Game version
    0.204.609
The following is a release of the majority of turrets used on vessels of the now dissolved Khaldrin Conglomerate, previously operating on the Skies of Eden server. Half of the turrets have seen active use on during combat operations while half have also never been mounted to ships for various reasons.

The Khaldrin Conglomerate adopted the Trident Foundries turret system in an attempt to streamline and standardize turret mounts and weaponry across a wide array of vessels. Attempts at this were mostly successful, however various issues were discovered along the way which compounded alongside infighting and leadership struggles within the Conglomerate; resulting in the initiative becoming stalled and eventually collapsing alongside the Conglomerate itself, now being found on a variety of pirate vessels in scrapyards across the star cluster.

    S2 Autok AMS

To fulfill the role of a cheap, simple anti-missile turret on smaller ships; engineers created the Autok and Shelek anti-missile systems. While the Shelek was more widely adopted, it was observed that the Autok was not only cheaper and easier to maintain, but ever so slightly more effective in its role. Despite this however the Shelek remained in widespread service for reasons only known to the Khaldrin family.
The Autok is a simple AMS turret that is meant to be low impact and used en masse to provide effective AMS coverage.

    S2 Reka AMS
    KCTReka.png

To further expand and modernize weapons platforms in the initiative, a 2nd generation of weapons were developed in response to rising conflicts within the Skies of Eden. The Reka was the first of these weapons systems, however never saw widespread use aside from being the base AMS of the Volca-class light destroyer. Many shipyards and captains saw no tangible benefit from mounting the newer Reka over older Autok and Shelek AMS as the Reka had no noticeable benefit to require retrofits.
The Reka in an AMS similar in scale and perfomance to the Autok but with a dual gun system and different aesthetics.

    S2 Pavase AMS
    KCTPavase.png

The last 2nd generation AMS turret developed, the Pavase is a massive upgrade over the previous AMS turrets in service. The triple turret design and much larger turret housing allows for a more powerful and robust plasma bolt generation system to be installed, and field testing showed the Pavase was twice as effective on average over existing AMS at destroying incoming munitions. While the Pavase saw limited usage, its adoption came at a poor time as the Conglomerate was suffering catastrophic economic and leadership issues; meaning that the Pavase never saw the widespread usage envisioned for it. The Pavase saw widespread replacement of the existing Shelek and Autok AMS turrets on existing Encilo-class frigates, especially during the Encilo's retrofit program.
The Pavase is a much larger AMS turret that housing twice the amount of weapon blocks within its gun, and thus has twice the firepower coming out of it at the cost of being much more noticeable on a ship's power drain. Very effective in its role; just be wary of running out of reactor power.

    S3 Balika Heavy AMS
    KCTBalika.png

An attempt at an even heavier AMS turret, the Balika is sized for the S3 mount and was created to deal with the highly armored and extremely dangerous missiles that rival corporation Sunforge Engineering could field on their vessels. When the outbreak of war did happen however, no such munitions were ever fired; and as such the Balika quickly fell out of service as the various other stellar nations of the galaxy never fielded theorized missiles of such strength.
The Balika is the last AMS in this pack and was made solely to knock out high health single missiles. Its effectiveness in this role is unknown as it never saw combat, however it features a substantial amount of weapon blocks to perform this role; so it is somewhat effective at dealing with light craft and corvettes.

    S3 Locar Beam Turret
    KCTLocar.png

After open warfare within the Skies of Eden began, it was quickly noticed that the Conglomerate lacked and smaller turret systems for dealing with lighter targets such as fast attack craft and corvettes; as the majority of ships were built around much heavier and slow to reload artillery cannons found in the S4 and S5 mounting categories. To remedy this, the Locar was created using specifications and designs from the Formiden Confederation. The Locar features a dual long range beam system designed to melt armor as effectively as it breaks shields, all while being available to the S3 mount. This turret saw much use on Volca-class light destroyers for dealing with fleets of pirate craft, however the Conglomerate soon fell into ruin before it could be placed onto any more vessels.
The Locar is a beam turret using the Saber Beam ratio as detailed by Lecic's weapon guides. It is effective at dealing with light craft and dealing good damage to armor, making it a decent secondary weapon choice for larger ships.

    S4 Lankor Beam Turret
    KCTLankor.png

A weapon system designed for the flagship of the Khaldrin fleet, the Stalak-class battlecruiser, the Lankor never saw the light of day until recently as budgeting constraints and conflicts within the admiralty led to its adoption to keep getting sidetracked and pushed back until the eventual fall of the Conglomerate. The Lankor was designed as a secondary battery to the much heavier S5 guns mounted on battleship sized vessels, and was meant more for carving out large chunks of armor and hulls of a target once their shields have been broken.
The Lankor is an S4 turret designed for block and armor damage over raw alpha damage. While still sizable enough to melt a smaller ship, against larger opponents the Lankor is lacking and requires another turret alongside it to breach the shields of an enemy vessel.

    S4 Thunderbreak Artillery Turret
    KCTThunderbreak.png

The pinnacle of the 2nd generation of weapons in the modernization initiative, the Thunderbreak is a very powerful artillery cannon styled turret for usage in S4 slots. While never seeing widespread usage due to the time of its creation and adoption, the Thunderbreak was noted to be the most effective turret to be mounted on destroyer and cruiser hulls; with respectable damage output alongside manageable power drain. Had the Conglomerate gone on for longer, the Thunderbreak would have likely been the most common armament in the fleet.
The Thunderbreak is an S4 artillery turret that provides a good balance of firepower and power draw for dealing with a variety of ship classes and hulls; from easily dealing with lighter vessels to punching hard against heavier targets.

    S5 Arquenta Artillery Turret
    KCTArquenta.png

The Arquenta; the main armament of the Stalak-class battlecruiser and the pride and joy for the Khaldrin family. This turret excels at breaking the heaviest of shields and punching through the entire lengths of ships like they were butter. The catch to it all is the slow reload of its triple gun design, the gigantic size of the thing, and its massive power draw. Accept all of those issues and work around them though and the workhorse of the Khaldrin fleet will put down anything before it even gets in range to retaliate.
The Arquenta is a massive S5 artillery cannon with double the weapons blocks of the Thunderbreak. Its power draw is daunting and the size of its mount makes it unsuitable for a variety of ships, but its massive damage output will put the hurt on anything it fires at; assuming the shells actually hit the target.
