Introducing: Intracorp's latest ship of the line: The Tiger Class (CA-200)
The successor in both design and spirit to the Wolf class, The Intracorp Tiger class is a ship designed both for peace and war.
At 98m in length, The Tiger class is small enough to fall below capital ship classification under the treaty of Daga 9.
The Cruiser's 6 neutrino/ion engines provide competitive thrust while not requiring too much power.
She sports seven Intracorp standard point defense rocket launchers for that low-cost high-yield anti-fighter option.
The Primary turret is an extremely powerful railgun, capable of long-range high-damage fire.
Additional defense comes from three towed-array decoy systems, each with a dual emitter head. These work to prevent long-range target locks, and distract both heat-seeking missiles and Drone fighters.
The Tiger Class's detection systems are state of the art, sporting both passive AND active systems to detect and classify any contacts from well beyond weapons range.
The Tiger Class may be well armed, but half of its mission is exploration and scientific study. To that end, it sports the following systems:
Salvage
Power Drain
Power Supply
Push-Pulse
Repair
Additionally, there is an extremely powerful tractor beam, for moving heavy objects or holding them still for study.
The Tiger class would be a poor enforcer if it sported only turrets, so she carries several times the primary armament of the Wolf Class. Eight Heavy Particle cannon can punch through several layers of armor, while eight rapid fire cannon serve to deal with lighter threats or as a more moderate show of force.
If all else fails, the Tiger class sports four torpedo tubes armed with Intracorp's Mk3 antimatter torpedoes.
It has space in the magazine for 64 of these powerful devices.
Moving on from marshal aspects, this exploration vessel has space for four shuttles or backup decoy drones.
The main fusion reactor provides ample power for the ship, running for six months on on-board reaction mass.
