The AES-Hunter is the first of the 4th Generation design from Bephinus-Per Shipyards. This transitioned from the slow, heavy craft of the other sub-divisions into a fast, hard-hitting light design. The Hunter was born out of the need for a fast, agile fighter/bomber, that in a small group could turn a decent sized base defenseless. The Hunter sports 2 new KHG-47 Tomahawk Engines, making it the fastest vessel ever produced by Bephinus-Per. But, due to the high heat produced by these engines, there was a need for a small, yet reliable coolant system, hence the light grey coolant wires wrapped around the ship. This provides great efficiency in cooling, yet it also provides a weak spot for the hunter, as if more than 6 pipes get burst, the engines will overheat. Another weakness found by our engineers was the fact that any ship of this size can be pulverized given strong enough weapons, so we added a small auxiliary armor booster, located in the nose of the vessel. The Hunter still has a few minor flaws, so be on the lookout for updates in the future.
Hunter Pilots will be given a task, usually to weaken or disable a small base or decent sized ship, and will hunt in packs of 3, hence the name "Hunter." The space around the Bephinus-Per home shipyard is also guarded by a pack of Hunters.
