The ORBA Fleetworks Helios Class Yacht is the peak of luxury packed into a precision engineered and finely crafted Artisan hull! With no expenses spared, ORBA engineers developed the star of every luxury fleet and collection, the Helios. Featuring fantastic views, opulent amenities, and plenty of engine and jump drive power to get you anywhere, the Helios Class Yacht is the perfect mode of transport for executives, diplomats, and anyone with a sense of style and an appreciation for quality!

    History:
Development of the Helios Class began in 2294 in response to a galactic contest opened for all ship designers as a means of opening a broader variety of income sources for ORBA Fleetworks in the civilian luxury and non-military governmental markets. Designers looked to the architecture of our home on Aptha for inspiration, drawing from places of importance and luxury such as the Hall of Governance and integrated this with tried-and-tested ORBA ship engineering. Now, as of early 2295, the Helios is complete - a record turnover for ORBA's engineering board, a sign of growing experience amongst our engineers and designers. It is the first ORBA ship to feature two elevators, and such a large pool!

    Features:
This ship was designed to be as functionally effective as possible while retaining a full RP-ready interior. It also comes with a multitude of logic features!

The Helios features four modernized OPT-411 Engines with vectored thrust and enhanced gravitational momentum angling as its primary means of impulse and jump propulsion. Originating in one of the many refits of the Serenity Class Science Corvette, the OPT-411 has been upgraded and enhanced over the years to achieve maximum speed and propulsion while producing minimal heat and consuming minimal power. These four engines are configured in an "X" pattern, which allows the ship to maintain structural integrity at extreme impulse speeds (Top Speed 3). These engines and the jump drive have been integrated thoroughly from the start of development, and the reactor has been augmented to allow for the charging of up to 4 jump charges, which can automatically recharge.

The hull is artisan crafted for elegance and beauty, while remaining armored and sufficiently defensive as to protect all passengers on board. The ship features a grey, black, and white hull with golden trimming and accents throughout, including the "Helios" insignia embossed on the back of the ship.

Helios is equipped with a pair of ORBA Vita Class Pods (MkIII C) for emergency ship evacuation and shuttling personnel between ships, stations, and planetary surfaces. The pods are located to the aft of the ship, and have wireless connection to the ship to allow for remote and safe launches, allowing even the most untrained of passengers to pilot the pod in an emergency. Each pod is suited for 9 personnel, and can be launched using the button on the hotbar in the pod, or by activating the wireless logic block in the bay. Pods can be reloaded by activating the logic button on the aft of the ship just adjacent to the pod bay doors, then redocking to the rails.

The corvette also possesses a pair of Universal Standard Docks on either side of the ship, with good clearance for flexible docking. Each port also has an airlock linked to buttons with public permission, to allow guests access to the ship (these can be easily replaced if not desired).

On said docking ports and across the ship there are also standard blinking navigational lights (red to port, green to starboard) which can be disabled via an activator in Engineering.

Alongside the ship's state-of-the-art reactor is a set of state-of-the-art radiator panels. Positioned to optimally cool the ship, the panels dynamically activate (an orange glow) according to the power consumption at the given moment. This is dictated by the ship's internal clock, so if the running lights are not blinking when active and the radiator doesn't appear to be functioning, be sure to make use of the "clock reset" button on the Bridge until they are working again. The radiators utilize the same clock as the running lights.

At the fore of each engine pod is a small shield emitter. The Helios has robust shielding for maximum protection of VIPs and crew, with a reactor tuned for enhanced shield capacity and generation, which should allow the ship to escape in the event it is assailed.

This ship is not only rated for space travel; it is also rated for actual ocean-going! The ship's hull is of course pressure tight, and nicely hydrodynamic, for old-fashioned ocean-going!

Helios also has variable engine toggling; either all engine emitters can be disabled (Engineering), or the ship can be placed into "Water Landing Mode" (from the Bridge) which disables the lower two engines and prepares the ship for amphibious operations.

The yacht has four decks; the lowest has the Emerald Conference, Dining, and Ballroom, as well as the luxury kitchen, freezer, and crew quarters (four rooms with two bunks). The middle (and main) deck has the airlocks, the escape pods, Engineering, the transporter bay, the medical center, public restrooms, and, of course, the pool and bar room! The third deck features the bridge and five luxurious passenger quarters, each with their own bathrooms and double beds. The fourth and uppermost deck features the observation room and four more passenger quarters. These decks can be traversed by either of the two fully operational elevators found at the center of the ship!

Helios has advanced navigational and communications suites to maintain contact at distance as needed.

A two-pad transporter bay is also available, if docking and airlock usage is not chosen.

Helios also features a small medical bay for emergencies, though proper care should be found at sufficient facilities immediately for critical injuries or illness.

The ship comes with a fully-stocked bar in the pool room, a swimming pool, a hot tub, and a fully functional large scale kitchen which can be used to support a plethora of guests.

    starmade-screenshot-1326.png

Docking cameras for each USD are present, as well as two different forward facing cameras on the bridge and the observation deck.

Helios is ultimately designed to sustain no more than 18 individuals safely for long term voyages (going beyond that would exceed escape pod capacity), however for short term travel or expeditions (less than a day), it is more than capable of hosting about 70 guests comfortably, and plenty more less than comfortably.
