Hegemony LAC: Light Attack Craft
This fighter is the fighter to go with the Hegemony navy I have been uploading. Like the rest, this ship is primarily based around stealth, with no shields included. I recognize that since the AI cannot use stealth, this renders these ships next to useless for now.
These small fighters are primarily made to be flown off of carriers or "landed" on planets. They have powerful engines, but neither armor or shields for defense. They typically die in one hit of a large weapon.
RP features include my now standard sliding canopy, extending docked landing gear, and engine baffles. The difference is that these all trigger based on a single button activation for control simplicity. This button can either be found on the cockpit floor, or partially obscured on the outside of the ship. If the ship is parked, sitting on the deck, press the button to "take off", closing the canopy and "turning on" the engine, then retracting the landing gear.
The ship's weapons are a single unguided rocket launcher, and a pair of small (2x2) cannon. These are light even by fighter standards, but the overall theme of the fleet calls for weapons to be light and ships to be stealth focused.
The ship is fast, with a greater than 2.5 thrust ratio. There is a "speed module" included, which you can activate at the cost of stealth by re-tooling the reactor. This can permit this ship to be an adequate long range explorer or scout.
