Thinking to independant miners, salvagers, scavengers, asteroid diggers, in short all those who bring us the ressources needed in our everyday lives and business, BSE engineers conceived a civilian light frigate made only for them, the CSFr Syphon was born.
Not forgetting about the danger of space, especially pirate raids, our engineers gave her a rather heavy shield for it's size, increased by a brand new Ionic Shield Reinforcement System ( ISRS ), while providing her with ways to defend herself and her crew with 4 point defense turrets with dual rapid-fire cannons, 2 on each side, and a light triple long-range tracking missile-launcher turret on top, all automated.
Meant for a crew of four, namely a captain/pilot, two salvage operators and a technician/CSC pilot, it can nevertheless be operated by a lone man, but only at 60% efficiency.
As stated in the crew list, the Syphon also bears a small hangar, located on the rear of the ship, which can old any CSC. The standard Syphon is delivered with a CSC Skiff type L (small liner version of the Skiff, not yet available on the open market) meant for crew transboarding.
