The exterior definitely had time put into it, but it was really cluttered and detracted from the overall sleekness of the ship. There were also exposed thruster plumes on the thrusters used as detail (Which I do not like in the first place because they are system blocks, but I will give you a pass as it is detailing in your book). There is also no aesthetically pleasing gun barrel or missile tubes in sight for the weapons. Also, please add more cameras and in better places.
About the weapons (and systems more generally), they seem to have been haphazardly thrown in without any rhyme or reason (not to mention the voids in the ship where systems were forgotten to be placed). The power system was lack luster in how it was integrated, taking up much more space than necessary in regards to the possible efficiency the ship's length could muster. The weapons are not power stable and can not be fired on the move, which would be completely necessary for exploration ships. I will not get you on the shield count, as it is exploration, but come on, its realllllly low. The jump drive system is too small to travel the stars quickly as exploration would need.
The interior needs work as it looks like someone vomited random grey colors and patterns all over the floor and walls. But over all, the interior was nice.
I give this ship a 3 for the amount of work put into accomplishing it and its general look being moderately appealing.
However, I do not recommend this ship for anyone who really wants to use it for exploration, as it is just not up to snuff.
