Disclaimer: This only works with doors made out of door blocks (like plex-doors or blast doors), not rail doors (for obvious reasons).
This logic enables a user to create doors that automatically open when someone tries to pass through them. The doors open for approximately 1.5 seconds before closing, giving plenty of time to go through. As an added bonus the logic is practically impossible to break with regular door usage, even if multiple people are going through in both directions.
How to set up:
Instructions:
1) Add area triggers to each sides of the door, as shown in the first image.
2) Link the appropriate logic modules to the door and area triggers on each side (by using the C and V keys). Just keep in mind that the two area trigger controller must only be linked to area triggers on one side (refer to the second image above).
3) Enjoy your automatic doors without the hassle of manually opening and closing them every time you go through :D

The file is a copy/paste template, after it is downloaded simply put it in the "template" folder located in your star-made directory (folder). After that you can open the game and place down the logic by going into advanced build mode (Ctrl key), pressing the "load" button located on the left, selecting "Automatic door logic" and finally pressing the "paste" button (also in advanced build mode). After that you can just place it where ever you want!
