Ajax Class Cruiser

    Ajax Class Cruiser 2014-07-21

A capital ship that is now up to date again. It comes equipped with a few turrets and docked ships. You get in the ship at the bottom middle where a small hangar is located. It holds 4 mechs. There is a second hangar at the front that holds 2 dropships.

This ship has an interior although it is not detailed and filled so there is room to put your own stuff in there.
Armor is around 2/3 thick with the front parts around 10/15.

    Weapons:
    • Cannon + Cannon + Punch-through to kill hull (works well on shields too)
    • Beam + Pulse + Overdrive destroys shields quickly.
    • Missiles, lots of missiles...

    Systems:
    • 40 Million shield HP with 1 million regen/s
    • 200 Million power storage with 14 million regen/s
    • 280 000 thrust and 295 000 mass
    • Length: 499m Width: 99m Height 153m
Make sure to use the punch-through module as defensive. It has a 90% efficiency and you have plenty of power left to fight!

Very beautifully done work of art and destruction.

Yes, very pricey! Was able to remove about 100M off the cost and retrofit to suit my needs a bit.

    Main Weapon Systems
I also ended up linking the AC from 50 to 25 because it was creating a lot lag when you fired them off. I also changes the Dumb fire missile to Lock on so they would not glitch through my target as offen.

    Turret Systems:
Modified by keeping to the look and feel all of the large turrets. I changed the top on to Lock on missile and added another one like it in front of it. Modified the two large ones in the midsection to Rapid fire AC and place two more on the underside. Replace the 8 small bank AC with temporary turrets(lock on w/rapidAC) .

    Interior Design:
Remove the main access shaft and replace them with two separated up and down trigger activated gravity shafts. That way I can get to the command center faster. The hallways are color coded so i don't get lost and unfortunately I ended up removing the crew deck to add in more shield and thrusters Increase the hallway length to run to the turret system on the mid lower deck .

    Exterior Design:
I did remove a +20% of the design work to reduce the pricing. Overall it still looks like the majestic original version.

    New Spec:
    Mass 1,868.7
    Power: 16,289,617.8 Tank:366,228,016.2
    Thrust:384,185.3 X=1.1 Y=1.1 Z=1.0
    Shields:54,029,487.0 Recharge: 1,256,790.0

I noticed that after the debris system got implemented, the cannon + cannon + punchthrough is really laggy. Even if lifetime is on 0, it seems to calculate for debris, not 100% sure yet though. This used to be completely fine btw, no lag ^^

Hope you'll enjoy your newly retrofitted ship ;)
It was a bit too costly but I like it :)

The price of hardened hull is way too much, I'm hoping it will decrease a bit, this makes any blueprint with 2-3 thick hardened hull really expensive.
"People always say "Oh-Ryan", but they are just stupid."

I see you got inspiration from the Orion-Class Battleship from Sins of the Prophets mod for Sins of a Solar Empire. :)

    Really cool! :D

Indeed, I'm a huge fan of the one who made all those models. My pillar of autumn that I'm making right now is also based on the Sins of the Prophets model.
