Edit Nov 2016: Turret's transfer beams now rendered obsolete by changes to game. I will re-release new version of turret...later.
Total block count is 50,000
Made for a tournament with simple rules;
-One ship & one turret only with a combined block-limit of 50K.
-No heat-seekers.
This ship is all about combat. There is a small control room but no RP interior. My focus was not looks but rather thoughtful design with high DPS (for its size). It is a very tricky ship to pilot well. There are 3 and half tool-bars of systems so to get the most out of this ship you need a human pilot with multi-tasking skills.
Specs & Feature Highlights:
Power= 15 Million (Generates 1 million/sec)
Shields= (its complicated)
Defensive System bonuses:
-Ion 37% bonus. (of 60)
-Piercing 25% (Maxed)
-Punch-Through 25% (Maxed)
-Explosive 25% (of 100)
-EMP 25% (of 50)
Turret is fully gimbaled with excellent field of fire, multiple weapon systems and zero collisions. The base and the barrel have power/shield transfer beams that feed back to the main ship (wireless remote control of logic). The main ship also has transfer beams feeding the turret. Neither will be without shields for more than half of a second.
-Advanced push drive and reverse 'Kite-Puller' Drive that toggles state (cruise control...in reverse). Kiting tactics: tune thrusters for strafing sideways and reversing.
-Heavy reliance on Homing missiles and torpedoes. (Scanning computer will deal with cloaked or jammed targets.)
-Missile pods are staggered the length of the ship to increase odds of shield penetration.
-Woven Armor design to keep the hull lightweight.
-Very tough and survivable. Will fight even with massive combat damage.
-Eats Pirate bases and laughs at reinforcements.
Finishing Move.
-If you are running out of power for your systems steal your enemies power...and finish him with it. Power-Drain lance can be activated to drain power from a target dead-ahead. Close and finish.
Enjoy,
(p.s. The hull may have my tag on it. Feel free to remove it to avoid confusion or keep it...the artist signs his work ; )
