118 Industries Transcendence Class Assault Frigate

118 Industries Transcendence Class Assault Frigate Mk1

118 Industries Transcendence Class // Assault Frigate

118 Industries presents the first of its larger ship line,
    the Transcendence class.

Created as a test bed for our prototype GoliathXL Thruster and our new Shredder repeater cannon, the Transcendence performed so well we had to keep it. After a few modifications the Transcendence became the new standard frigate for 118 Industries fleets.

Usually used in pairs as escorts for larger cruisers, the Transcendence depletes its target's shields using its long range ion accelerator cannon (~490,000 shields per hit) then dishes out the pain primarily with its Shredder cannon. The Shredder is a huge (8573 total block) repeater cannon with more than enough "dakka" and huge penetration sometimes known to rend ships in twain, bow to stern.

Additionally the Transcendence comes equipped with:
2 high powered MBE cruise missiles,
    6 Vertically launched MBE missiles,
104 small MBEs to swamp enemy AM defences,
4 medium sized turrets (2 beam, 2 cannon),
    10 small sized turrets.

    Defensively the Transcendence comes with
    an armour enhancement mechanism,
    20 AMS turrets,
A radar jammer (not very stable, use with caution),
    A decent jump drive.

This ship is fantastic to cruise around in. I am especially fond of the look of the main engine. It is very Epstine-esque. It is quite fun to peal off and go blast away some pirates while watching the Point Defense Guns make their counter attacks futile. It has a excellent agreement with the external 'curb appeal' and the interior's style. The only think that sticks me is this ship suffers from drunken NASCAR driver syndrome when controlled by an AI in fleet formation. Also, the transporter on the bridge needs the other decorative transporter modules unlinked from the control computer cuz you'll totally beam into the wall. :)
Love the ship. Looks like an actual military design, with no unnecessary "rule of cool" exterior details that enhance the "Hide everything you can under that armor plate, this is supposed to be a warship not a technology demonstrator or a fancy exhibition piece" look. To all critics, look at a Zumwalt-class destroyer. Warships aren't supposed to be fancy.

Thanks! I was going for an extremely militaristic look as it is a battle frigate designed with combat in mind, glad I was able to pull it off =D
Beautiful ship, especially that big engine. I think the back section with the bridge could use one or two of those green stripes and the hull could use a tad more detail overall but this is truly excellent work.

Thanks for the review! I was strongly considering stripes on the bridge but I thought it might look better as it was, maybe I'll give them a go and see how they turn out! Thanks again =D
