WON'T WORK-MAC

So I recently downloaded the new Mavericks OSX for my computer. In order to run starmade after that I had to update java, not sure if it was because of the OS or an update but I did it and starmade worked for a little bit but I had consistent crashes. So I decided to delete the starmade starter and redownload it. Now when I redownload it it says it's from an unidentifed user and won't let me open it, it just closes. Can somebody PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Go into system preferences/security and privacy/general, then look under the \"Allow apps downloaded from\" and select anywhere. Then starmade should run.
