So with the railsystem in place utilizing it is not as well supported as it should be.
The thing is we would need more hotkeys and also being able to jump into entitiys blocks like cameras directly not by scrolling through all docked entities to find the right one and then skipping through attached cameras.
Also by skipping through entities you are also turning off ai's on these so the entire camera view system also needs a redo. We also should be able to set the order in which we can switch through the views of all cameras attached to entities tied together...
Also ofc we would have to be able to control the flight of the ship while we are in a camera on a different entity trying to dock to that station right in front of us.

This would likely spare people some headaches. It wouldn't be too hard for the devs to allow you to set the priority of the cameras, and to be able to access them wirelessly. The question is how you could access them wirelessly.

Perhaps we can make wireless blocks and activation blocks access the player triggering them, and if he is in the ship, set the camera to the one being tripped by the wireless logic. The setup would only need three logic blocks, and no additional UI elements. It also has the advantage of allowing the player to jump to a specific camera, with no 'entity walking'.

I agree. We definitely need a more direct means of entity/camera switching.

Due to how gravity logic works, we know that activation blocks can identify the initiating player. It hopefully wouldn't be to hard to translate this over to cameras the way you suggest here.

personally i would be happy if buttons would actually be a real replacement for activator block, delay and not ... try hooking it up with an area controller and do automatic gravity, you still need the old logics to make that work.

Hey again can we get a statement on this please.

And is "bought Starmade" really the only thing i earned?
