windows 8.1 problems

ever since I updated my laptop to windows 8.1 the game screen has dark lines running through it and the game freezes on fullscreen mode, is there anything I can do?

Everything up to date (drivers and java especially)? I\'ve tried it on Win8.1 and no problems till now. Maybe your graphics driver isn\'t fully ready for 8.1.
